Archer Aviation Appoints Tom Anderson as Chief Operating Officer, Urban Air Mobility

Tom Anderson has joined Archer Aviation as its new Chief Operating Officer, Urban Air Mobility.

Anderson will manage Archer’s urban air mobility (UAM) operations and will focus on launching its commercial service.

Anderson previously worked for companies including Breeze Airways, ATR Aircraft, Airbus, Virgin America and Boeing.

“I’ve spent my entire career focused on developing and scaling commercial aviation operations. I’m thrilled to join Archer at this pivotal juncture to help the company continue to innovate and redefine the future of transportation,” Anderson says.

Adam Goldstein, Archer’s Founder and CEO, believes that for UAM to become a reality, operators also need to focus on creating an ecosystem for aircraft to operate in. “Tom’s appointment moves Archer one step closer towards bringing urban air mobility to the masses and transforming cities for the better,” he says.

Archer previously formed an advisory committee with United Airlines

to encourage widespread usage of UAM.
