EHang EH216 Completes Over 37,000 Test Flights

EHang, the Chinese eVTOL producer, said its EH216 electric aircraft has successfully conducted over 37,000 test flights as of May 2023, putting the aircraft among one of the most tested aircraft in the industry.

The flights spanned across 12 countries in various continents, including Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.

“We continue soaring through the skies! As of May, the EH216 series AAV had conducted over 37,000 safe test flights across 12 countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas which is among the highest flight records in the global eVTOL industry. More to come. Stay tuned with EHang!” the firm said in a post on Twitter.

The announcement of flight tests pertaining to the EH216 comes just after EHang unveiled that its revenue surged 41.6% from RMB15.7 million (USD$2.2 million) in the fourth quarter of 2022 to RMB22.2 million (USD$3.2 million) in the first quarter of 2023.

In May 2023, EHang announced plans to develop Urban Air Mobility (UAM) in Latin America, hold flight tests for its EH216-S eVTOL in Israel, and establish the first electric aircraft manufacturing facility in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
