Eviation’s Alice is about to Make its First Flight

Eviation released some new pictures of its upcoming electric-powered aircraft Alice on August 17.

The nine-seater aircraft, which is expected to make its first test flight before the end of September, posed for pictures on the tarmac at Grant County International Airport in Moses Lake, Washington.

First unveiled at the 2019 Paris Air Show, Alice is an all-electric, nine-seat aircraft flown by a single pilot for shorter commuter transportation at a much lower costs than non-electric aircraft. The model currently has a payload of 1.2 tons and a maximum range of 815 Kmh.

Eviation plans to build four Alice electric aircraft for airworthiness certification tests and aims to deliver the first aircraft to launch customer DHL in 2024. The company has also designed an executive version, which can carry up to six passengers.

As well as DHL, Alice has also won orders for 12 aircraft from Deutsche Post.
