HKBAC Wins ‘Best Asian FBO’ for 15th Year in a Row

The Hong Kong Business Aviation Center (HKBAC) was recently voted the “Best Asian FBO” by Professional Pilot Magazine.

It is the 15th year in a row that the HKBAC has won the award.

“We are delighted to keep on the winning track and be awarded the ‘Best Asian FBO’ in the 2022 Professional Pilot Magazine PRASE Survey.” Said Madonna Fung, General Manager of HKBAC. “Getting the accolade in such difficult times is particularly encouraging, as we have to double our effort to ensure our best-in-class technical support, ground maintenance, as well as passenger and crew services are the least affected by the challenging COVID pandemic.”

The HKBAC opened in 1998 when the then-new Chek Lap Kok Airport opened.

“With the team’s tireless dedication, I have no doubt that HKBAC will be able to continue to press ahead with confidence and pizazz in the new normal, contributing to Hong Kong’s position as an international aviation hub in thriving Greater Bay Area and Asia.” Said Fung.

Business aviation traffic into Hong Kong is still suffering the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The city shut its borders early in 2020, only allowing residents to enter after a lengthy three-week quarantine.

Hong Kong has recently begun to dial back on its entry restrictions as the city begins to open up again. Currently, visitors are expected to complete a one-week hotel quarantine before being allowed into the city.
