Lilium Collaborates with Aernnova on Propulsion Mounting System
Lilium has chosen Aernnova, an aerostructure manufacturer, to work on its aircraft propulsion mounting system.
The propulsion mounting system is a major element of Lilium’s electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle, as it is responsible for vertical and horizontal flight.
The two companies will focus their efforts on designing, manufacturing and supplying the flap structure.
According to Yves Yemsi, Lilium’s Chief Operating Officer, “Aernnova is an industry leading for customized design and manufacture of metallic and composite assemblies, which makes them an ideal partner. It is important to us that we collaborate with the best aerospace suppliers and leverage their expertise.”
The partnership is a major step towards the mass production of Lilium’s aircraft, as well as the company’s aim of launching sustainable and fast regional transportation.
Lilium announced a collaboration with Honeywell and DENSO during the 2022 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE).
