RYSE Debuts New eVTOL

RYSE Aero Technologies has launched its first electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, the RYSE RECON.

It was introduced at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Long Beach, California.

The company aims to focus on more rural industries, such as agriculture and land surveying.

According to Erik Stephansen, RYSE’s Director of Regulatory Affairs and Aeronautics, RECON differs from other eVTOLs as it is designed to be operated with minimal training. This fits with RYSE’s mission to “make flight accessible to all.” The aircraft can also be flown over a variety of terrains.

“Our team has been hard at work designing the most reliable and safest eVTOL vehicle in the ultralight class,” states Mike Kowitz, RYSE’s CEO. “We created the RECON as a vehicle for people with a purpose – those whose job can be done better with flight.”

The company is projected to start eVTOL deliveries early next year in January 2023.
