Bombardier’s New Chapter in Wichita

To enter a new era, the Montreal based manufacturer has announced its relocation of its US headquarter to Wichita.

Bombardier announced relocating its new US headquarter to its Wichita facility. The manufacturer believes the deep-rooted history in aviation of Wichita will make it a good location for growth in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and defense sector with its strong and talented workforce.

The Wichita facility has been an expanding service center that supports all Bombardier’s series including Learjet, Challenger, and Global business jets. The site also supports testing and certification of aircraft upgrades and is based of Bombardier Defense.

“Wichita was the obvious choice as the home of Bombardier’s new U.S. Headquarters and Bombardier Defense,” said Éric Martel, President and CEO, Bombardier. “For more than 60 years, the established skills and expertise from the Air Capital of the World is second to none, and this latest confirmation from the United States Air Force is a testament to the confidence they have in our aircraft and importantly, in the strength of our people in Wichita.”

According to Asian Sky Media’s Business Jet Fleet Report 2020, Bombardier is the most popular OEM in the Asia-Pacific region by fleet size.
