ACI Jet, a California-based MRO, has completed its first scheduled Collins Aerospace Pro Line Fusion flight deck installations on a Challenger 604. Two more scheduled flight deck installations are lined up.
The company said the flight deck features the latest technological improvements and is an improvement over older avionics systems. Several MROs (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) have completed Collins Aerospace’s flight deck installations on Bombardier’s Challenger 604 aircraft.
ACI Jet has worked closely with Collins Aerospace during the installation, as avionics upgrades of this size tend to be more complicated.
“Our relationship with Collins Aerospace and their support network is such that we were able to rely upon them for quick and accurate guidance when we encountered nuances that every major installation faces. Everyone pulled together to make it happen safely and accurately to meet our release target of December 24, 2022, for the aircraft owner’s flight schedule,” said Brian Ford, head of the Avionics Team for ACI Jet.
