AfBAA Announces New Appointments

The African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA) made two new appointments to its executive team in early October.

Dawit Lemma based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, was appointed as the AfBAA Vice President, International, whilst Johannesburg, South Africa-based Samantha Keddle was appointed as the AfBAA Manager.

Dawit, with close to 20 years of experience in the aviation sector across four continents, is the Founder and CEO of Krimson Aviation, an aviation services company based in Ethiopia and Malta.

Dawit’s key focus will be to promote AfBAA within Africa and around the world, and strengthen ties with government regulators and industry stakeholders, according to Nick Fadugba, Chairperson of AfBAA and CEO, African Aviation Services.

Keddle, who served as the office manager at the Commercial Aviation Association of South Africa (CAASA), will enhance AfBAA’s administration, interface with AfBAA’s leadership team, members, industry stakeholders, supporters and sponsors, and will help to manage AfBAA’s international publicity and events.

AfBAA was formed in 2012 as a nonprofit association that aims to promote the understanding and benefits that business aviation provides for Africa’s economic development and prosperity.
