Atlantic Aviation, Avfuel Increase SAF Supply for UN Meeting

Atlantic Aviation and Avfuel Corporation have stepped up their cooperation by providing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to the United Nations delegates.

The two companies will ensure the availability for air operations at Atlantic’s FBO at Aspen-Pitken County Airport (ASE) during the Global Meeting of the Mountain Partnership held this week.

“Atlantic Aviation is firmly committed to going higher when it comes to promoting sustainable aviation, especially in sensitive mountain environments for which air travel is critical infrastructure for people, goods and services,” said Brian Corbett, chief commercial and sustainability officer, Atlantic Aviation.

The fuel from Neste delivered was earlier placed in a newly dedicated SAF tank and an “Atlantic Evolve” fuel truck.

Neste MY SAF has one of the highest average blend ratios available in business aviation and can reduce carbon emissions by 19 metric tons.

The Global Meeting of the Mountain Partnership has members from diverse mountainous countries and is the major event in the United Nations’ International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development.
