Atlantic Aviation Opens Washington Dulles FBO

Atlantic Aviation, the Texas-based FBO operator, has opened its FBO at Washington Dulles International Airport.

The lease for the FBO and related facilities was awarded to Atlantic Aviation following a Request for Proposal (RFP) competition run by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

The facility includes a 14,200 sq ft terminal building, six hangars totaling 150,000 sq ft, and 59,000 sq ft of office and workshop space. Atlantic Aviation has already expressed interest in expanding its presence at the airport.

“This is a terrific development for all of us,” said Tim Bannon, COO, Atlantic Aviation. “The addition of Washington Dulles adds to our growing number of locations at the nation’s top 20 general aviation airports and allows us to now seamlessly serve more customers on the Eastern Seaboard with the same high quality of safety and care our team provides at every Atlantic Aviation location.”

Signature Flight Support is the only other FBO currently operating at the airport.

Atlantic Aviation operates 102 FBOs across the U.S. The opening of the FBO in Washington is the latest announcement in a series of expansions for the company this year. Atlantic Aviation is also expanding its facilities in Bedford, Massachusetts and Scottsdale, Arizona, as well as improving its facilities in Nashville, Tennessee and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
