Bestfly Makes Austrian Acquisition

Africa-based Bestfly has acquired Austria-based aircraft asset management firm, MS Aviation, as part of its strategic expansion plans in Europe. The deal will see MS Aviation relocate its offices to Graz in southern Austria.

The acquisition marks a major step towards Bestfly’s goal of strengthening its presence in the European and Caribbean markets.

By incorporating MS Aviation into its operations, Bestfly aims to enhance its corporate aircraft management services and expand its European VIP charter business.

Nuno Pereira, Chairman and Group CEO of Bestfly, said, “The acquisition of MS Aviation is a critical component of our growth strategy. It provides us with an invaluable entry point into Europe, allowing us to expand our existing corporate aircraft management services, bolster our European VIP charter business, and establish a comprehensive structure for commercial aircraft ACMI solutions.”

Michael Mayer, Accountable Manager of MS Aviation, emphasized the benefits of joining forces with Bestfly, saying that MS Aviation’s expertise in Gulfstream, Bombardier, and Dassault business jets will add value to Bestfly’s operations in Europe.

Bestfly has been diversifying and expanding its business from a ground handling company. In line with its expansion strategy, Bestfly is actively exploring the inclusion of various commercial aircraft types to augment its business aviation expertise.

Bestfly, which was established in 2009 as an Angolan company for ground handling services, has been diversifying and expanding its business. The company has expanded its presence from Angola to countries including Aruba, Portugal, Cape Verde, Austria, UAE, Congo, Guyana, and Senegal.
