Elit’Avia Acquires New York Charter Company

Elit’Avia has acquired Pioneer Business Services of Newburgh, New York, as part of the company’s major expansion plan into the U.S. market.

The Slovenian operator will take over Pioneer’s U.S. businesses including aircraft management, charter services, and operations at New York Stewart International Airport.

Kevin Rodgers will assume the role of President of Elit’Avia Americas for future operations, while Michel Coulomb will continue to be CEO and Accountable Manager of Elit’Avia International serving Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Rodgers said the company is exploring opportunities in private aviation. “Drawing on our years of experience and knowledge of the domestic market, we will deliver services that enable our US-based clients to navigate the complexities of private aviation with confidence and peace of mind,” he said.

The acquisition came following Elit’Avia’s expansion into the Asian market in 2018 by opening offices in Hong Kong and Bangkok. In 2021, the company entered the cargo market and is managing a Boeing 747 under its Maltese Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
