Executive Fliteways Acquires ExcelAire Services

New York-based Executive Fliteways has acquired ExcelAire Services, expanding its total fleet to 20 aircraft.

To meet the growing demand for luxury air travel, the two companies – both headquartered at Long Island MacArthur Airport – decided to combine their resources and networks at the site.

The acquisition involves gaining full control of ExcelAire’s fleet of managed jets on its Part 135 Charter Certificate. As a result, EFI’s managed aircraft count increased to 20.

Additionally, Executive Fliteways has acquired ExcelAire’s Part 145 Repair Station, allowing for substantial growth in its in-house maintenance capabilities. This will lead to improved cost control and reduced downtime for managed aircraft owners.

To accommodate its growth at Long Island MacArthur Airport, Executive Fliteways has secured a long-term lease with Hawthorne Global Aviation Services for a recently constructed hangar and offices, totaling 80,000 square feet.

“We are delighted to welcome ExcelAire clients and employees to the EFI family. This acquisition perfectly aligns with our growth strategy and broadens the range of options for our clientele. Together, we are well-equipped to meet the evolving demand for private jet travel and enhance the overall experience,” said James Prinzivalli, President of Executive Fliteways.
