India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved ExecuJet Middle East to carry out maintenance work on the Dassault Falcon 2000.
The approvals cover the first iteration of the Falcon 2000, with CFE738 engines and a Collins Proline 4 Avionics System that are registered on the Indian VT- registry.
“India is a very big and growing market for Dassault Aviation and also a very important market for ExecuJet, thanks to geographic proximity,” says Nick Weber, Regional VP Middle East at ExecuJet MRO Services.
The Falcon 2000 approvals add to ExecuJet Middle East’s existing approvals from the DGAC, which include the Falcon 7X, Falcon 8X, Falcon 900C/EX/EASy and Falcon 2000EASy models.
According to the latest Asian Sky Media Business Jet Fleet Report, there are 18 Dassault Falcon 2000s registered in India.
“Dubai is a short flight away from India and India-registered aircraft are regular visitors for business and tourism,” said Weber. “This latest approval enables ExecuJet to better support all Indian Falcon customers operating within the region,” he adds.
ExecuJet Middle East is currently based at Dubai’s main international airport but will be moving shortly into a new facility at the Dubai World Central Al Maktoum.
Once the new facility is completed it will offer 15,000m2 (163,000ft2) of MRO facilities, as well as a new large hangar, workshops and office space.
Once the move to Dubai World Central has been completed, the company will maintain a small AOG team at the main airport.
