MRO Japan Wins first Euro ACJ Contract

MRO Japan has won its contract to perform maintenance on a European-registered Airbus ACJ318.

Based at the former Clark Air Force just outside Manila in the Philippines, the ACJ318 is registered in Malta under the 9H- registry and is operated by Comlux.

The aircraft is due to arrive for scheduled maintenance at the company’s Naha Okinawa facility once MRO Japan finalizes the necessary processes with the local authorities.

“We are very pleased to have MRO Japan performing the next maintenance check on the Airbus ACJ318. It is key for Comlux to develop its network of approved MRO centers for its VIP fleet, and MRO Japan has successfully passed our stringent audit,” said Andrea Zanetto, COO, Comlux Group. “Their state-of-the-art industry practices and wide experience in Airbus aircraft maintenance are valuable assets to support effectively the ACJ318 of our customer, a renowned corporation in Japan.”

MRO Japan officially received its European Union Aviation Safety Agency Part 145 Maintenance Organisational Approval Certificate in October 2022 but has been locally approved to work on Airbus A320 family aircraft for more than seven years.
