Textron Aviation Receives Green Recertification

Textron Aviation’s service centers have received recertification of green aviation from the National Air Transportation Association (NATA).

Among more than 20 Textron service centers across the globe, five achieved Tier 1 status, and 15 achieved base-level certifications.

The certification, part of NATA’s Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses program, requires companies to offer green practices including recycling, reducing paper and plastic bottle use, as well as applying LED lighting to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

The company’s service centers in Paris, Singapore, Valencia, Zurich and Indianapolis, Indiana received Tier 1 status by phasing out single-use plastics, installing motion-sensor lighting and reducing idling in ground support equipment.
