Qatar Executive Announces Record Growth

Qatar Executive, the private jet division of Qatar Airways, has posted significant growth in activity at its Premium FBO Terminal at Doha International Airport. The FBO saw a 595% year-over-year growth in arrivals, and a 574% growth in departures between November and December 2022. This growth was driven by the Qatar World Cup 2022, with 296 jets departing the FBO between December 18th-19th after the final World Cup match.

In the leadup to the Qatar World Cup 2022, Qatar Executive renovated the FBO which included upgrading its baggage handling services and training additional staff. Qatar Executive also added a further three Gulfstream G650ERs to its fleet, bringing the total number of G650ERs to nineteen – representing 79% of the total fleet. This makes Qatar Executive the largest owner and biggest single commercial operator of the aircraft.

The remaining four jets in the fleet consist of two Bombardier Global 5000s and two Airbus ACJs; one of which is in an air ambulance VIP configuration.
