SmartSky and Davinci Jets Expand Partnership

Davinci Jets, the aircraft management and charter company recently opened an MRO facility at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, North Carolina, has been announced as the latest sales and installation partner for SmartSky Networks’ air-to-ground connectivity system.

Davinci Jets was the first aircraft management company to offer its customers the option to install SmartSky products on their aircraft.

“Inflight connectivity is the most requested upgrade and now we can offer the most advanced system, SmartSky,” said Joe Chaundy, Director, Davinci Jets Services. “SmartSky’s performance features ensure each passenger can stay continuously connected on multiple devices simultaneously while using the same applications at the same high performance that they do on the ground. As an MRO, we want a fast and easy installation that minimizes downtime for the aircraft. SmartSky delivers the speed our customers need in both connectivity performance and installation.”

SmartSky’s air-to-ground network uses low latency, bidirectional data links in order to provide high performance connectivity to passengers whilst airborne. Its antenna-based technology enhances performance by providing each aircraft with SmartSky installed with a secure, individual connection to its network, rather than being one of multiple aircraft sharing the same connection across a broad area.
