TAG Aviation Pushes Limits of its Global 7500

TAG Aviation has tested the range of its Bombardier Global 7500 fleet by flying non-stop from Hong Kong to Newark in the U.S. state of New Jersey, and San Jose from the U.S. west coast back to Hong Kong.

The long-haul flights took 14 hours 58 minutes and 15 hours 48 minutes respectively, which are “amongst the longest flight endurance range of the Global 7500,” according to the company. The distance between Hong Kong International Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport is approximately 13,000 km, and the flight back from San Jose is slightly shorter.

TAG Aviation said the flights require “impeccable flight planning” on factors including weather, time and fuel usage. Collaboration among crew members is also an essential part.

“Ensuring optimal efficiency is one of the top priorities for our operations team. To achieve this, we diligently monitor weather conditions to plan the most efficient route, both in time and fuel use,” said Karson Wong, Senior Manager Ground Operations, TAG Aviation Asia.

Having operated regular missions between Sydney and London, Asia, and the Americas, TAG Aviation has proven the capabilities of its Bombardier Global 7500 fleet.

The Bombardier Global 7500 is a luxurious, long-range business jet that stands alone as the world’s largest and longest-range business jet. The aircraft has a range of 7,700 nautical miles (14,300 km).

Peter Likoray, senior vice president, Sales, Bombardier, said the test flights demonstrate how the Global 7500 leads the industry. “It demonstrates once again why this immaculate business jet is the undisputed leader in our industry,” said Likoray.
