Turkish Government Agency Orders Three Citations

The Turkish government has placed an order with Textron Aviation for the delivery of three Cessna Citation Business Jets.

The order covers one Citation Longitude and two Citation Latitudes. All three aircraft will be used in flight calibration roles by the DHMI (General Directorate of State Airport Authority).

The order was placed by Turkish Aerospace Industries.

“Textron Aviation is honored to, once again, be selected as the aircraft of choice for the critical mission of ensuring the integrity of the airways that constitute the national airspace of Turkey,” said  Bob Gibbs, vice president, Special Mission Sales for Textron Aviation.

Turkey has a long history of operating Citation aircraft in flight calibration roles. The government currently operates a small Citation fleet including two Citation IIs, two Citation VIIs, and one Citation VI.

All aircraft are based at Etimesgut Air Base, just outside the country’s capital city Ankara.
