Responsibilities

  • Writing daily news and features about business aviation and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) in English and Chinese
  • Interviewing key industry players in Asia and other regions
  • Recording podcasts and videos to a high professional standard
  • Creating and maintaining your own media and aviation industry contact database
  • Taking ownership of our AAM coverage and becoming our in-house AAM expert
  • Collaborating with Junior Reporter / Editor to ensure quality of content across all media
  • Handling ad-hoc tasks as and when needed.

Requirements

  • You must possess a university degree, and have more than two years of reporting experience
  • No prior knowledge of aviation or AAM is required, although an interest in the field and the ability to learn quickly is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with website content management and newsletters are preferred
  • Be a clear communicator, comfortable communicating at all levels
  • Good team player and able to work under deadline pressure

Events play a huge part in the success of Global Sky Media. We provide definitive, actionable market intelligence and news on the business aviation, general aviation, civil helicopters, and advanced air mobility sectors across the world.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organized Event Manager that has strong attention to detail and who is a supreme communicator. Excellent project management skills with an ability to deliver events within time and budget are a must.

This position is based in our Wan Chai office, with international travel as required. You must have the right to live and work in Hong Kong.

Responsibilties

  • Design, program, and produce events, delivering events on time and within  budget, that meet or exceed expectations
  • Maintain or exceed budgeted sales and profits for each event
  • Set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on every project
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to promote the events
  • Develop and produce promotional materials and presentations
  • Solicit event sponsors and participation by industry professionals
  • Oversee the financial management for all project budgets from start to finish.
  • Manage supplier relationships

Accounting and Administrative Assistant / Officer

The Employee shall perform any and all support work necessary for the department of Accounting and Administration to the Company, including, without limitation, the following:

Accounting responsibilities:

  • Perform daily accounting operations and prepare vouchers and expense claims.
  • Accounting data entry, bookkeeping, and invoicing.
  • Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting.

Administration responsibilities:

  • Arrange business travel requirements for senior managers including booking flights and hotels.
  • Assist the sales team to input customer data into the company CRM system.
  • Assist the sales team in the printing of brochures, and reports and managing mailouts.
  • Where possible, assist with marketing & promotional activities.
  • Support office administration and facilities arrangements (e.g. liaison with IT and other services providers);
  • Aid in the preparation of paperwork and other office documents.
  • Compile, manage and execute company billings and receipts.
  • Manage office supplies and office equipment procurement and printing and stationery.
  • Reception cover (including meeting office visitors, responsible for general office line, handling mail, etc.).
  • May be required to work off-site occasionally.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting or LCC Intermediate qualifications.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Peachtree and project/job costing is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS office.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English & Chinese.
  • Proactive, responsible, good manner, and able to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Immediately available is preferred.
