Airbus Helicopters has sold its 18th ACH130 Aston Martin Edition helicopter but didn’t disclose the buyer’s identity.
The sale was announced by Fred Lemos, Head of Airbus Corporate Helicopters, at a press conference during the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland. In addition, Airbus would double the number of ACH130 Aston Martin Edition helicopters produced from 15 to 30.
The ACH130 helicopter is a standard H130 but comes fitted with a specialist interior from Airbus Helicopters’ UK facility at Oxford Airport, 51 km from Aston Martin’s production premises in Gaydon.
The 11th ACH130 Aston Martin Edition helicopter built recently arrived in Australia, while the 12th helicopter has been completed. The 13th one is in the UK undergoing development work.
In April 2023, Airbus Helicopters secured an order for 50 H160 helicopters from GDAT, a Shanghai-based helicopter lessor and operator. Later that month, the company delivered the first two of eight H145 helicopters to the Bavarian Police in Germany.
