Airbus Helicopters has announced that it sold more than 35 new single- and twin-engine helicopters over the past year for air medical missions.

The company is a major helicopter provider in air medical transport.

“We recognize that helicopter emergency medical services providers rely on their helicopters to save lives, and we remain dedicated to providing them with state-of-the-art options they can count on when minutes matter,” said Romain Trapp, President, Airbus Helicopters.

Recipients of Airbus’ latest sale of helicopters include healthcare service network Atrium Health, which added three new twin-engine H135 helicopters to its existing fleet, to enhance its air emergency and critical care patient transport services in the Carolinas, and Global Medical Response, which also ordered two new H135s, which adds to its fleet of H125, H130, H135 and H145 helicopters. Air medical operators located in the Northeast and Midwest US, which include Boston MedFlight, OSF HealthCare, and Mayo Clinic, also placed orders for the five-bladed H145.
