Leonardo Appoints Gualter Helicopters as AW09 Distributor in Brazil

Leonardo is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its AW169 helicopter, which first flew on May 10th, 2021.
The AW169 is a single-pilot light intermediate twin-engine helicopter powered by two Pratt and Whitney PW210A turboshaft engines.
The helicopter was the first to feature electrically actuated landing gear, leading the aircraft to have various customers for the AW169, including air ambulance, law enforcement, offshore transport, military, and utility sectors.
So far Leonardo has sold more than 220 AW169s.
The aircraft was certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in 2015.
According to Asian Sky Media’s China GA Report 2021, Leonardo is the fifth-largest helicopter OEM in the Asia-Pacific region.
