Bell expands in Australia with Eagle Copters Maintenance acquisition

Bell has expanded its footprint in Australia with the acquisition of maintenance, repair and overhaul provider and existing Bell customer service facility (CSF) Eagle Copters Maintenance (ECM).

ECM is based in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, and Redcliffe, Queensland. Eagle Copters Australasia was formed by Canadian company Eagle Copters and Australian company Aero Assist in 2013 to provide helicopter support. In 2019, the company purchased Redcliffe-based MRO provider Heliwork to expand its operation.

ECM has been a Bell CSF for more than six years. Bell says over the last 40 years, the Eagle Copter group of companies have been one of its top producing CSF network of facilities worldwide.
“This acquisition enables us to provide local support and solutions to our customers in Australia and in Asia-Pacific,” says Chris Schaefer, Bell’s director, support and services. “We are confident that ECM has the right portfolio of service offerings for competitive aftermarket support in the region,” he adds.

“We have a positive and strong reputation in the region and provide dedicated support to our customer network. The team is excited for this new journey with Bell and to continue bringing robust solutions in Australia and Asia-Pacific,” says Grant Boyter, director, ECM.
