CHC Brazil Signs Five Transportation Contracts with Petrobras

CHC do Brasil, CHC Helicopter’s subsidiary, has signed five contracts with energy company Petrobras to provide offshore transportation.

Starting from the second half of 2023, CHC Brazil will transport passengers and small loads to Campos Basin, the main sedimentary area already explored off the Brazilian coast, using five AW139 for the next four to five years.

As part of the helicopter company’s long-term growth plans in Latin America, CHC Brazil will expand the company and grow its fleet to around 10 medium and large aircraft.

“We are incredibly proud to have been chosen by Petrobras for this project in Campos and Vitória Basin. Supporting energy production is a core specialism of CHC and we are committed to growing our operations in Latin America over the coming years,” said Gilson Caputo, Director of Operations in Brazil, CHC.

Having previously operated in Suriname, Uruguay and the Malvinas Islands, CHC also has operations in Brazil and Mexico. The AW139 helicopters to be applied are based at Campos dos Goytacazes, and Bartolomeu Lisandro Airport and Eurico de Aguiar Salles Airport in Vitória.
