Helicopter Crash Kills Four in Vietnam

Four people were killed in a helicopter crash near Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Vietnam. One person is still missing, according to local media.

The helicopter operator Vietnam Helicopter Corporation has suspended helicopter travel services following the deadly incident.

The sightseeing helicopter, which is said to be a Bell 505, was carrying one pilot and four Vietnamese tourists before losing contact with air traffic control about 19 minutes after taking off.

State media VnExpress said a rescue team found part of the Bell 505 helicopter and recovered the body of the pilot on Thursday morning. Two more bodies were found near Halong Bay.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown with investigations ongoing.
