Leonardo Appoints Gualter Helicopters as AW09 Distributor in Brazil
Leonardo has named Gualter Helicopters its official distributor for AW09 helicopters in Brazil at the Catarina Aviation Show being held in Sao Paulo from June 1 to 3.
Leonardo said in a LinkedIn post that customers in Brazil have shown strong interest in acquiring the new helicopter.
The appointment of Gualter Helicopters is the latest feather in the cap for Leonardo as the Italian firm named Helitech Asia PTE LTD as its distributor for AW09 helicopters in Southeast Asia.
In March 2023, Gualter Helicopters signed a preliminary sales contract for 20 AW09s at the HAI HELI-EXPO 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia.
During the recent European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland, Leonardo received orders for one AW109 GrandNew and one AW109 Trekker from Sloane, its UK and Ireland regional distributor.
At the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA) Exhibition 2023 in Malaysia, the Rome-based company got an order from Weststar, a provider of offshore helicopter services, for one AW609 tiltrotor and five AW139s.
