Eve Publishes CONOPS For UAM

Eve published a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) focusing on the upcoming urban air mobility (UAM) market in Rio de Janeiro.

The CONOPS features data and analysis that breakdown the needs of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

According to Luiz Mauad, Vice President of Services and Feet Operations at Eve, “…this collaborative document was designed to better understand the characteristics and challenges faced by this mode of transport. It also provides information about the UAM ecosystem that can not only be adapted but also developed with solutions to ensure a safe and sustainable expansion.”

The CONOPS was designed by including studies on factors that would impact a UAM network, as well as detailing flight operations that occurred in November 2021.

It was developed in collaboration with 11 partners. These included the Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC), Skyports, Universal Aviation, and more.

The CONOPS will be made available on the company’s website.

Eve hopes that this CONOPS will encourage stakeholders to continue developing and investing in UAM.

Eve recently teamed up with Thales to further develop its eVTOL aircraft.

Eve also previously confirmed its eVTOL type certification process with ANAC.
