Daher’s TBM 960 Makes European Debut

Daher’s TBM 960 turboprop single has made its European public debut at Aero Friedrichshafen, Europe’s largest general aviation exhibition.

The TBM 960 is the latest high-end version of Daher’s TBM pressurized single turboprop aircraft family. It features Pratt & Whitney Canada’s new PT6E-66XT engine and a fully digital e-throttle, along with a digitally-controlled cabin.

The French aircraft manufacturer introduced the TBM 960 at the Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, Florida, where Daher exhibited the first production airplane. The six-seater TBM 960 can fly a maximum range of 1,730 nautical miles (3,200 km) at a cruise speed of 610 kph.

“The TBM 960 has surpassed all previous sales records, confirming the capabilities of digital power for this latest high-end member of our TBM 900-series aircraft family,” said Nicolas Chabbert, the Senior Vice President, Daher’s Aircraft Division, while stressing the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of the aircraft.

The company has delivered nearly 60 TBM 960s to North America and other European countries, including France, Germany, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Daher produces two types of single-engine turboprop-powered aircraft: the Kodiak, an all-terrain multi-purpose airplane, and the TBM, one of the world’s fastest single-engine turboprop-powered aircraft.
