Greenbird Welcomes Aviation Australia

Aviation training organization Aviation Australia has joined Greenbird’s advanced air mobility (AAM) collaboration platform.

The organization is the only basic aircraft maintenance training institution in Australia that is both approved by both the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

“The training capabilities of organisations like Aviation Australia will be crucial to the development of a robust, fit-for-purpose advanced air mobility ecosystem, and to ensure that young Australian can take part in an exciting phase of aviation history,” says Greenbird’s Managing Director Sara Hales.

“Engagement within this ecosystem and partnership with Greenbird is a fundamentally important step in the development of AAM and is perfectly aligned with Aviation Australia’s strategic priority to lead the provision of the essential skills required to support new and emerging technologies,” adds Aviation Australia’s Chief Executive Officer Bill Horrocks.

Greenbird plans to commercialize AAM by 2026, as well as to operate electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles for Brisbane’s Olympic Games in 2032.

The platform recently welcomed Aerospace manufacturer Quickstep to join as well.
