Lilium Submits Means of Compliance

Lilium has given a Means of Compliance proposal to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for its Lilium Jet.

Manufacturers need the Means of Compliance to showcase how their aircraft can meet airworthiness requirements set by the EASA.

EASA and Lilium must now define and agree on how to demonstrate the aircraft’s compliance.

Lilium previously received its EASA certification basis (CRI-A01) in 2020.

The company is also pursuing type certification validation with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

This proposal represents a milestone in achieving type certification of the Lilium Jet.
