Business Jets – YE 2021

  • There were 1,215 business jets operating in Asia-Pacific at the end of December 2021, which was a decrease of 1.1% from the end of 2020.
  • Overall, there were 33 new deliveries, 68 pre-owned additions, and 114 deductions, all contributing to a net decline of 13 business jets from the fleet in the Asia-Pacific region. The COVID-19 pandemic still had an effect, with more Light and Very Light jets entering the region than in previous years.
  • Mainland China remains the largest market in the Asia-Pacific region, with a net loss of six aircraft in its fleet. Hong Kong saw the most net declines, with a total of 19 aircraft leaving. However, Japan instead saw the most additions, with eight aircraft entering the country, which helped its fleet grow by 14%.
