Infrastructure & Training Report Asia-Pacific 2022

This year, we have combined the Infrastructure and the Training Reports for Asia-Pacific together into one all-encompassing report.

  • Up to 30th September 2022, there were 3,529 airports with runways longer than 400m – 69% were GA, and 31% were commercial. Australia had the highest number of airports followed by mainland China.
  • Australia had the highest number of FBOs at 21 whilst mainland China had 15. Japan was the most expensive for FBO charges.
  • There were 96 business jet MROs and 120 turbine rotary MROs. India had the highest number of business jet MROs whilst mainland China had the highest number of turbine helicopter MROs.
  • There were 349 training schools in the region, of which Australia had the lion’s share with 143 which was almost 3.5 times higher than the next in line which was mainland China.
