Textron Receives NATA Certification for Sustainability

Textron Aviation received certification as part of the National Air Transportation Association’s (NATA) Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses.

The certification recognizes Textron’s 20 service centers around the world for its ability to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions, increase the use of environmentally friendly energy resources, reduce waste, and promote sustainability through business operations.

To reduce carbon emissions, Textron Aviation entered a 20-year contract with a Kansas-based energy company – Evergy, allowing the company to utilize Kansas’s wind energy. In addition, sustainable aviation fuel has become a standard option for customers in the Wichita Service Center.

“This recognition affirms that we are on the right path towards achieving our sustainability goals. We remain steadfast in our commitment to a more sustainable future for our employees, communities, and customers,” said Brian Rohloff, senior vice president, Customer Support.

According to Asian Sky Media’s China GA report 2021, Textron Aviation has the largest turboprop and piston fixed-wing fleet in the Asia-Pacific region.
