EASA Certificates Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 Engines

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certificate the Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines that will be used on Gulfstream’s new G700 and G800 business jets.

“The certification of the Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines for the G700 and G800 is a significant step that brings us closer to delivering these game-changing aircraft to our customers,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream.

He said the level of demand for both the G700 and G800 is high, due to their unique combination of range, speed and cabin size in ultralong-range distance flights.

The G700 aircraft features the most spacious cabin while the G800 has the longest range in business aviation. Both of them are equipped with the Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and the advanced Gulfstream wing and winglet.

“With these powerful advancements, Gulfstream customers can reap the benefits of large cabins with enhanced comfort over the worldwide flights the G700 and G800 can accomplish,” Burns said.
