Lilium Collaborates with Bristow on AAM

Lilium and Bristow have entered a strategic partnership to allow Bristow the option of purchasing 50 Lilium Jets. Bristow will also be providing maintenance services for the Lilium Jets in Florida.

The non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) further details how the two parties will work together to gain relevant regulatory approvals for the Lilium Jet.

“The Bristow partnerships build on our existing partnerships with other best-in-class organizations…They [Bristow] are a leading maintenance provider with incredible operational experience,” says Daniel Wiegand, Co-Founder, and CEO of Lilium.

“Bristow has played a key role in successfully introducing several new VTOL platforms for the past 50+ years, so it is a natural evolution for us to take a leading role in the new and exciting Advanced Air Mobility market and lend our expertise to innovative and dynamic companies like Lilium,” adds Christopher Bradshaw, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bristow.

The arrangement still depends on both parties finalizing commercial terms as well as the satisfaction of certain conditions.

Lilium recently chose Astronics to design and build the Lilium Jet’s electrical power distribution system.
